B56 Skillsbackbone – It’s a New CPD Year!

Hi All,

We have received a notification from Skillsbackbone regarding the New CPD Year!

Dear Training Provider, Trainer/Assessor,

Thank you all for submitting your CPD for the year 2024-2025.

Now that the CPD new year has begun, we just wanted to go over a few things.

Please read through the guidelines attached.

  • CPD has to be relevant to your role.

  • You have to be able to say what you will do differently or better going forward.

  • You need to be able to say what you will do next.

  • You need to be able to state how your CPD will benefit your delivery and the learners.

If you can't answer the above statements, it is not CPD! 

You can submit your CPD for mid-year review once you have 15 hours. The benefits of this are that you get confirmation that you are following the CPD guidelines in regards to what needs to be attached as evidence, what you are writing as an explanation and that you are choosing the correct categories for the evidence/explanation.

Please remember, if you put a clear description (and not just a short one-liner) it is less likely that we will have to come back and ask questions.

All CPD durations have been put back to 30 hours. If you have a trainer or Assessor who is part-time or who can not fulfil the 30 hours, please remember to fill in a dispensation form (Download Below) for us to consider a reduction in hours.
