Update on PTMP Core Issues

All,

We are aware that trainers encounter persistent issues around the checking of delegates having the required PTMP Core pre – requisite for PTMP courses. As PTMP Core does not generate a visible Sentinel competency, it can be difficult for trainers operating outside a Network Rail Training Centre to verify whether delegates meet this requirement.

Network Rail TQAS team and the plant senior training portfolio manager are working together to develop a long-term solution.

In the interim all PTMP trainers delivering courses requiring PTMP Core and not based at a Network Rail Training Centre are to be aware of the following:-

The delegate is accountable for evidencing that they hold PTMP Core when attending training.
Where a delegate is booked on back-to-back courses e.g. on a fast track, the delegate can complete the PTMP Core e learning then join any subsequent training events.
Any missed training will need to be re booked by the customer (Network Rail) at a later date.
